The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce has volunteer openings on many of its committees. Employees of any Chamber member business are eligible to join. In fact, we welcome new members. Committees are a great way to meet new people, make new connections, express your opinion/ideas and stay up-to-date on Wellsville area events and happenings.

Membership Services & Communication

The Membership Services & Communication committee typically meets once a month. The purpose of the committee is to recruit and retain Chamber members while ensuring that the Chamber is fulfilling its responsibilities. The committee effectively communicates the Chamber image and message to members and entire community. The committee:

• Recruits and retains Membership by coordinating annual Membership drive and developing and publicizing new incentives.
• Evaluates Member benefits and seek new benefits.
• Advocates for Members when appropriate, including the provision of entrepreneurial support.
• Solicits and manages corporate sponsorship of events on an annual basis and as-needed.
• Survey businesses to select the annual award recipients.
• Works closely with the Events & Culture committee on events related to Membership.
• Spearheads projects involving logo design, newsletter, website, signage and all aspects of Chamber marketing.
• Ensures Chamber is communicating with its Members in a consistent and positive manner using an integrated marketing plan.

Events & Culture

The Events & Culture committee typically meets once a month. The purpose of the committee is to support and improve the quality of life in the Wellsville area. The committee:

• Plans special events including the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, Main Street Festival (Balloon Rally), Golf Tournament & Clambake and Holidays in the Village.
• Develop a schedule of speakers for Educational Membership meetings.
• Ensure a cooperative liaison with the Riverwalk Association, Music on the Lawn and other area groups planning events that impact retail activity as well as local culture and quality of life.

The Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve Wellsville and many surrounding areas. We bring people and organizations together, promote education, nurture networking and act as a resource for every age and every demographic.
