On August 1st 2024, the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 100th anniversary, having been chartered in 1924. At a gathering at the Chamber’s offices, Executive Director Bruce Thomas, Membership Services Coordinator Karen Kania, and members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors welcomed the public to share in their celebration. At the conclusion of the event, Bruce Thomas unveiled the Chamber’s project to commemorate the anniversary and to memorialize the community it serves – The Wellsville Mural. The mural, featuring a collection of prominent Wellsville images, will be painted on the side of the L’Italia Restaurant building on Main Street. The final concept for the painting can be seen below.
